Abstrak

This research is a classroom action research that aims to determine the implementation of learning and to learn to improve student learning outcomes. The causal factors behind the problem are the teacher is not right in the selection of models in the learning process, learning activities are still passive and do not attract students' attention and student motivation has not yet appeared in social studies learning subjects. This research was conducted at public elementary school 055985 Pekan Selesai. The subject of the research was class V students who denied 30 students, while object research increased student learning by using the Cooperative Student Type Achievement Division (STAD) model on social studies subjects. Data collection used was the observation sheet of teacher activity, student activity and essay tests of five questions that were limited to the positive levels of C1 and C2. The data analysis technique used is the formula of teacher learning activities and student activities, and learning outcomes consisting of individual learning completeness, classical completeness, and average student learning outcomes. Based on the analysis of teacher learning activities in the first cycle from 60% increased to 72.5% in the second cycle and student activity in the first cycle from 60 increased to 76 in the second cycle, individual completeness has reached KKM which is 65. Classical completeness cycle I from 66 , 67 became 86.67 and the average student learning outcomes increased from 63.49 to 74.89. Learning by using the Cooperative Type Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) model can improve student learning outcomes in social studies subjects on the basis of the preparation of Indonesian Independence Preparation in class V 055985 Elementary School Pekan Selesai.
