Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Guided Discovery Terhadap Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS) Siswa Pada Materi Sistem Respirasi Di Kelas XI SMA Bintang Langkat

Abstract

This study aims to determine the ability of students' science process skills on the material of the respiratory system using guided discovery learning models and conventional learning. The research method used is the experimental method and the control group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study were all students of class XI SMA Bintang Langkat. Sampling technique is done by random sampling. The sample grouping consisted of two classes, namely students in class XI-2 as a control class and class XI-4 as an experimental class at XI SMA Bintang Langkat. The data collection technique was carried out using a written test in the form of multiple choice questions as many as 33 pretest and posttest questions. The results showed that there was an increase in the ability of students' science process skills in the experimental class. The experimental class using the guided discovery learning model experienced an increase in the ability of students' science process skills.
