Abstract

The purpose of implementing education is to educate the nation's life which must be realized through the national education system. Teachers who have a central role in the successful implementation of learning must have a leadership spirit, must be competent teachers because teacher involvement in learning has a great influence on the learning process and achievement of students. teachers must be good role models for students, especially elementary education students. Because in practice there are still many behaviors that deviate from applicable norms and rules, Efforts to respond to these conditions, teachers who position themselves as leaders need to introduce character education to students, in forming character of students, it is necessary to have educators who can lead the study room and grow and develop cooperative efforts and maintain a conducive climate in organizational life in the study room. Leadership is the ability to influence a group to achieve a set of goals. The teacher who is a leader in the class is an important person in character education in schools. Most of the interactions that occur in schools are interactions between students and teachers. Educators are figures who are expected to be able to educate children with character.
