EFEKTIVITAS CERITA RAKYAT SEBAGAI MEDIA PENANAMAN NILAI MORAL DAN PANCASILA PADA SISWA SDN 056425 DAMAR

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of folk tales as a medium for instilling moral values and Pancasila values in fifth-grade students at SDN 056425 Damar Seratus. The research employed a mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanatory model, involving 32 students and using instruments such as questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. The learning process utilized three folk tales, namely Si Pitung, Putri Tangguk, and Malin Kundang. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ understanding of moral values, with the average score increasing from 62.5% in the pretest to 87.8% in the posttest. Understanding of Pancasila values also increased from 58.2% to 85.4%. The N-Gain calculation indicated values of 0.674 for moral understanding and 0.65 for Pancasila values, both categorized as medium–high. Observation and interview data supported these findings, showing that students were more enthusiastic, able to identify moral messages, and capable of relating Pancasila values to daily life. Thus, folk tales proved to be an effective medium for character education that is contextual, engaging, and meaningful for elementary school students
